This letter prepared by CEE Web for biodiversity and CEE Bankwatch Network was sent to EU Member States, asking them to help introduce sustainability proofing into the next EU budget. It is a tool to ensure that environmental integrity is maintained as a precondition for any development, while economic and social development serve the objective of increasing human well-being in the context of the EU budget.
